SSJR Wins Appeal Of Rejection In A Video Imaging Patent Application
10 November 2011
SSJR attorneys have succeeded in reversing the rejection of a U.S. patent application for a video imaging system. The application concerns a video imaging system including a camera head and a camera control unit (CCU) receiving and processing image data, wherein the camera control unit has a detachable configurable component. The detachable configurable component includes a processor configuring the detachable configurable component for processing the image data. The Board of Patent Appeals agreed with the arguments put forth by SSJR that the claims are not obvious in view of prior art, and concluded that the Examiner erred in rejecting the claims. Issuance of a patent containing all pending claims is expected in due course.
