Mr. Winter represents clients in a wide range of Patent, Trademark and Copyright matters from prosecution of Patents and Trademarks to litigation, licensing, opinion work, inter-partes proceedings, and Trademark oppositions and cancellations.

Mr. Winter also assists buyers, sellers and their attorneys with the intellectual property concerns of merger and acquisition deals and his team at SSJR have developed a proprietary software system and service that streamlines the process of transferring title of intellectual property on a worldwide basis in M&A deals.

Mr. Winter prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patents in a variety of fields including industrial machinery, blow molded articles, medical devices, consumer products and software technologies such as mobile phone management systems, communications systems and automated controls for industrial machinery. Prior to Law School, Mr. Winter developed and implemented an automated control program for aluminum rolling mills.

While at Lehigh University, he was a member of the Lehigh Micro Aerial Vehicle team, which designed, developed and tested radio controlled planes for competition. Mr. Winter and his team presented their research as keynote speakers at the American Institute for Astronautics and Aeronautics and the American Helicopter Society chapters in Philadelphia. Also while at University, he designed and tested improved carbon fiber outriggers for rowing boats. As part of this project, Mr. Winter developed an improved adjustment system for rowing boats and ultimately received a patent to this invention.

While in law school, Mr. Winter was a multiple time United States National Rowing Team member, competing at a number of World Cup and World Championship events and he also won the Lake Placid Ironman in 2012.

Mr. Winter is also an FAA licensed private pilot with an instrument rating. This allows him to easily visit clients and travel to court appearances and depositions outside Connecticut.
